Indoor Movie Themed Christmas Decorations
Breakfast at Tiffany's Movie Christmas Theme for the Holidays
As the spirit of Christmas fills the air and goodwill descends upon the earth around the world, holiday celebrations are getting underway everywhere. Christmas Day is just around the corner as the count down for shopping days remaining also begins. Holiday celebrations are always enhanced by the razzamatazz of holiday decorations. Some holiday revelers wait all year for the opportunity to spring into action. From decorating every inch of the front lawn to stringing thousands of lights around the property, the decoration displays of Christmas are inevitable and just in time for the winter holidays.
When coming up with a holiday theme for your home for Christmas 2010, perhaps thinking outside of the traditional holiday box might be in order. This year why not select a theme from your favorite film to deck the house with holly and Christmas cheer. The theme that I thought would suit my home for Christmas holiday 2010 is Breakfast at Tiffany's. I am not much of a fan of the color red and there never appears to be enough of during the Christmas season.
Therefore, this year I decided to avoid the red theme altogether and go with an unconventional yet very elegant white lights and Tiffany blue box color scheme. Breakfast at Tiffany's is not only a film classic but a film favorite of mine. Combining the Christmas theme with the elegance symbol of Tiffany's and Tiffany blue boxes, in particular, was a delightful break from the normal Christmas red, red and even more red theme.
I started with the most perfectly shaped small white lights for the Christmas tree, doorways, and entrance hall. The lights were then hung and various locations around the living room and kitchen for maximum effect. Then, I placed several Tiffany blue boxes under the Christmas. Additional Tiffany blue boxes adorn the entrance table and side tables in the living room.
Tiffany blue ribbons used to wrap around the floor lamp and pillars accentuated the Tiffany Blue box color scheme throughout the home. A 20" Tiffany iced blue pre-decorated artificial Christmas wreath adorned the front door making the Breakfast at Tiffany's movie theme complete. In 2010, using creativity to create an exciting and festive Christmas holiday theme for the home can make this holiday season extra special.
